David Ladd

As Senior Partner at Kelley Cawthorne, Dave Ladd has spent more than two decades helping organizations navigate Michigan’s legislative and regulatory landscape. He represents a diverse portfolio of corporate, association, healthcare, technology, energy and K-12 education clients, working closely with elected officials and government agencies at the local, state and federal levels.

Before joining Kelley Cawthorne in 2003, Dave served as Legislative Director for the Speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives and held leadership roles in the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and the Office of the Great Lakes. During his tenure with the Office of the Great Lakes, he helped advance the Great Lakes Compact, a landmark agreement that guides water resource protection across the Great Lakes region.

Recognized as one of Michigan’s top lobbyists by both MIRS News and Inside Michigan Politics, Dave is known for developing practical, results-oriented strategies that help clients achieve their goals. With extensive experience in public policy and education advocacy, he brings valuable insight into the legislative issues shaping Michigan’s K-12 schools and communities.
